Mirrors

Mirrors, reflection, view of self, distortion, distraction, dismay. My impression of this short read was extreme. From one to another they went. Starting at such a young age her understanding of many things are blurred from reality. Through her reign with cancer she struggles to understand what makes her strong for being miserable and not showing it. what makes her weak when she shows the affects of her ravaging disease. does a young child not have the right to shed a tear over something grown people can barely handle themselves i think not. as i was reading i was appauled by the hushing of her feelings. to be strong was to be silent, i do not agree with this. Living a life of isolation from others even from her parents, emotionless relationships. She is forced to figure out what life is all about on her own. not having much of a foudation to build such oppinions off of. but the fault is not all hers. the comments from others around her , either not being able to or known how to ask y they say what they say to her to her. drilling the ideas of equality between strength and silence. deeper and deeper into her head. until she becomes comfortably isolated, to the extent where she feels almost a sens of superiority, positive and negative, still feeling a sense of difference but isolating her self more and more from her peers. misunderstood. her troubles grow deeper and deeper and the superficial layer of it all sinks into her being her way of life.
